2022 Designed protein multimerization and polymerization for functionalization of proteins Dani Permana,Herlian Eriska Putra,Djaenudin Multimeric and polymeric proteins are large biomacromolecules consisting of multiple protein molecules as their monomeric units, connected through covalent or non-covalent bonds. Genetic modification and post-translational modifications (PTMs) of proteins offer alternative strategies for designing and creating multimeric and polymeric proteins. Multimeric proteins are commonly prepared by genetic modification, whereas polymeric proteins are usually created through PTMs. There are two methods that can be applied to create polymeric proteins: self-assembly and crosslinking. Self-assembly offers a spontaneous reaction without a catalyst, while the crosslinking reaction offers some catalyst options, such as chemicals and enzymes. In addition, enzymes are excellent catalysts because… Lihat
2022 Even-denominator fractional quantum Hall state in conventional triple-gated quantum point contact Mohammad Hamzah Fauzi,Yasuaki Hayafuchi, Ryota Konno, Annisa Noorhidayati, Mohammad Hamzah Fauzi, Naokazu Shibata, Katsushi Hashimoto, and Yoshiro Hirayama The even-denominator states have attracted considerable attention owing to their possible applications in future quantum technologies. In this letter, we first report a 3/2 diagonal resistance, indicating the existence of a 3/2 state in a nanometer-sized triple-gated quantum point contact (QPC) fabricated on a high-mobility (not ultra-high-mobility) single-layer two-dimensional (2D) GaAs wafer. The center gate plays a crucial role in realizing the QPC's 3/2 state. Our observation of the 3/2 state using a conventional QPC device, which is a suitable building block for semiconductor quantum devices, paves a new path for the development of semiconductor-based quantum technologies. 2022 Influence of ensiling and tannins addition on rumen degradation kinetics of soy sauce residues Sadarman, Irawan A, Ridla M, Jayanegara A, Nahrowi, Ridwan R, Darma ING, Wahyono T, Febrina D, Harahap RP, Nurfitriani RA, Adli DN Condensed tannins (CT) and hydrolyzable tannins (HT) are secondary metabolites substances that are widely proposed as safe additives to improve protein utilization in ruminants. This study aimed to investigate the effect of tannins extracted from acacia and chestnut on the degradation kinetics of ensiled and non-ensiled soy sauce residue (SSR) in sacco. Two fistulated beef cattle (425±25 kg) fed a diet consisting of 80% Pennisetum purpureum and 20% concentrate was used to incubate the SSR samples (ensiled and non-ensiled) using a 6×11 cm standard nylon bag. Each SSR sample was added with 2% CT and HT, respectively. Soy sauce residue… Lihat
2022 Characterization, diversity, and effectiveness phosphate solubilizing bacteria from the soil and rhizosphere on the growth of Glycine max L. in greenhouse . The research was conducted to know the diversity, characterization, and effectiveness of phosphate solubilizing bacteria from the soil and rhizosphere on the growth of Glycine max L. in a greenhouse. The study aims to know the population, get the pure culture of phosphate solubilizing bacteria, and obtain isolates potential of the soybean growth. Isolation was done in medium Pycosvkaya. The growth characteristic of pure culture was observed using Pikovskaya medium; the clear zone surrounding the colonies indicates that the phosphate in the medium was hydrolyzed. The experiment aimed to assess the potency of the Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria to increase the… Lihat
2022 Retarded boron and phosphorus diffusion in silicon nanopillars due to stress induced vacancy injection Jan K. Prüßing, Tim Böckendorf, Felix Kipke, Jiushuai Xu, John Lundsgaard Hansen, Dominique Bougeard, Erwin Peiner, and Hartmut Bracht Phosphorus and boron diffusion in silicon at temperatures between 900 and 1050 C was studied both in bulk and nanostructured samples by means of scanning spreading resistance microscopy. The dopant diffusion from highly doped silicon substrates into 300–1200 nm diameter natural silicon nanopillars is clearly retarded compared to dopant diffusion in the bulk material. A three-dimensional solution of Fick’s equation enables a better understanding of dopant diffusion processes in silicon nanostructures, including all participating point defects. The observed decrease of diffusivity by 20%–50% can be explained by the injection of vacancies at the sidewalls of the pillar. The results do… Lihat
2022 The Effect of LiBOB Addition on Solid Polymer Electrolyte (SPE) Production based PVDF-HFP/TiO2/LiTFSI on Ionic Conductivity for Lithium-Ion Battery Applications Titik Lestariningsih, Qolby Sabrina, Christin Rina Ratri, Achmad Subhan, dan Slamet Priyono SPE (Solid Polymer Electrolyte) is an alternative to substitute conventional liquid electrolytes as it has a better safety level and has been produced using the solution casting method. An effort to increase the SPE conductivity of the PVDF-HFP/TiO2/ LiTFSI system has been carried out by adding LiBOB as an additive. LiBOB (lithium bis(oxalate) borate) is a salt compound that can interfere with the crystallization process of polymer chains, so it is expected to increase ion conductivity. However, the results showed a decrease in the conductivity from 3.643 x 10-5 S/cm to 8.658 x 10-6 S/cm. These results were proven by… Lihat
