Air Pollution in China: The response of Government NGOs, and Communities

Chinese economic development that started in 1978 had brought not only economic growth but also environmental problems. One of the significant environmental problems is air pollution; The pollution in China mostly comes from coal combustion. The increasing of industrial activities and population number has given significant energy demand. particularly the need of power plants that causes the decreasing of air quality. Nowadays. China is faced with various pollution problems and the most serious are water and air pollution caused by the use of coalas an energy source. Air pollution is generally caused by particles that are released by vehicle emissions and coal combustion. In regard to air pollution problems. China has been under pressure to remedy these. not only internally but also from the international community. The pollution is also travelling around the country. to other areas and even across the country that generates a risk for other regions.
