Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA)

Integrated aquaculture technology based on Multi Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) is a system combining three commodities namely sea cucumber, milkfish, and seaweed in one cultivation system.

The process of transferring IMTA technology is implemented by the Research and Development Division for Marine Bio Industry of LIPI through Lombok Marine Technopark. The target of technology transferring is four groups of farmers in West Lombok and East Lombok with a total of land area of 13.78 hectares

This technology enables increased productivity and economic value of abandoned ponds while maintaining the water quality.
