Activities

​1.  Research Program, Mastery and Utilization of Science and Technology that impact Great, Significant and Real (BSN), among others:

• Life Science research including the development of food and medicines, and Bio resources.
• Research Engineering Sciences who is spearheading the implementation of R & D results to be applied in industry or community of users.
• Earth Sciences research includes activities Disaster Mitigation and Climate Change; and Strategy for Integrated Development Planning in the Region.
• Coastal.
• Research for Social Sciences and Humanities is intended to provide scientific and technological support for the preparation of Indonesian society toward globalization.
• Research Science Field Measurement Standardization, Testing, Technology Transfer and Scientific Services.

2. Measurement and Research Development of Science and Technology that aims to increase research capacity in science and technology policy and management technology research and development of science and technology indicators.
3. Application of Research for Community Economic Development in IPTEKDA LIPI.
4. Promoting and disseminating research results LIPI as an effort to educate the nation and improve the welfare of the community.
5. Coaching, Development, Education and Training National Researcher through quality coaching and training as well as improving the quality of research through certification, codes of ethics researcher and research professor conferment.
6. Institutional Network Strengthening Science and Technology through the establishment of cooperation between R & D institutions, universities, and industry / community of users.
7. Development of Scientific Society (scientific group of teenagers, college students, teachers and professional organizations) such as research competition Youth (LKIR), the National Youth Scientific campsite, LIPI Young Scientist Award and the National Young Inventor Award.
