As on 4-8 December 2017, APCE has been through a periodic review and evaluation
by the UNESCO HQ Paris. The evaluation was done based on the written agreement
between Indonesia and
UNESCO with a period of 6 years from entry into force. In addition, APCE must
renew the existing agreements based on the integrated comprehensive strategy for
Category II Centre under the auspices of UNESCO.
The evaluation took place in Jakarta and Cibinong from 4-8 December 2017. The
evaluators appointed by UNESCO were as follows:
The evaluators reported that APCE has met the expectations of the IHP Intergovernmental Council and that it has made substantial progress in meeting its objectives and the functioning. The evaluators also recommended that APCE must be maintain the trend of the activity in the past two years (2016-2017). Finally, on 12th April 2018, the Executive Board of UNESCO has approved to renew the designation of APCE as Category II Centre of UNESCO for the next 6 years.
